Teaching Your Child about God in a Scientific World

This book provides ideas for parents who want to teach their child about God but who want to do so consistently with the modern world and the discoveries of science. A central theme of Teaching Your Child about God is that “there are other ways to conceive of God besides the anthropomorphic being we learned about as children. Chapters in Teaching Your Child about God discuss survey data showing what children around the world believe about God. Other chapters address what Correia calls “thinking lessons,” by which he means the rational side of religion, “loving lessons,” by which he means the relationship between loving God and loving others, and “feeling lessons,” the relationship between God and self-acceptance.
